Pomelo regulates blood pressure and heart rate

Pomelo is also a rich source of potassium (216 mg / 100 g) - a mineral element that is responsible for maintaining the body's water-electrolyte balance and regulates muscle tone, blood pressure and heart rhythm. Pomelo contains almost the same potassium as tomatoes (237 mg / 100 g), which are an inherent element of the hypertensive diet. In the prophylaxis of cardiovascular diseases, an important role is also played by pectin pomelo contained in the pulp and skin, which inhibit the rate of fat deposition in the arteries, and thus prevent the development of atherosclerosis. In turn, vitamin C helps increase the flexibility of the vessels.

Good for immunity

This strengthening immune system of vitamin is in it more than in orange (about 50 mg / 100 g), and even in deceptively similar to him grapefruit (about 34/100 g). In terms of its content, pomelo does not disappear even the lemon citronium widely regarded as the richest source of vitamin C (about 53 mg / 100 g).

Pomelo weighs an average of about 1 kg, and after removing the peel should be about 700 g. This means that 1/6 of this fruit covers almost 100% of the daily requirement for vitamin C (ie approx. 70 mg).
